Cooking Fun...

Cooking at Ready-Set-Grow is fun. Celebrate Dr. Seuss week by preparing the following:
OBLECK (From Dr. Seuss' "Bartholomew and Obleck"
1 and 1/2 cups Corn Starch
1 cup water
Food Color (optional)

Mix together and get ready for fun! When pushed down it becomes a solid. However, when pulled up vertically, the mixtures becomes liquid and runny.

Firemen Visit

Firemen Visit Ready-Set-Grow
To help teach the children at Ready-Set-Grow fire safety and emergency procedures, we had a visit from the Bountiful City Fire Department. Although it was cold, all children enjoyed seeing the firetruck close up, having a discussion with the firemen, and practicing evacuation drills.

Thanks to the Bountiful
City Fire Department for their special visit to Ready-Set-Grow.
